Yoga Practice / APO Annual Conference

As part of the conference programme, APO is organising a yoga session at dawn on 14 October, at 7.15 am.

APO, recognising the importance of self-care, regular physical exercise and mind-body balance for overall health and wellbeing, has included a yoga session at dawn on 14 October, at 7.15 am, as part of the conference programme. The session is inclusive and open to everyone, whether or not they have any experience of yoga.

We are living through challenging times on a global scale, with record levels of depression, anxiety and unhappiness … the number of healthcare professionals suffering from burnout is alarming … Yoga has the potential to transform the
our lives, by equipping us with tools that can be very useful in our day-to-day lives and have a profound impact on our wellbeing, balance and happiness.

Yoga offers a path to a longer, healthier life: it helps to increase flexibility, strengthen muscles, improve posture and even relieve chronic pain. What’s more, practising yoga regularly reduces stress and anxiety.

Have you been persuaded to take part?

There are no commitments, just a chance to give it a go. Sometimes, things that might not seem right for us at first turn out to be a real surprise when we give them a go!

Namaste!
Carla Gapo

Sign up via email monica.couto@diventos.com until 7 October.

Registration for any of the activities includes a T-shirt featuring the APO logo, to be worn during the session. Estimated duration of the activities: 1 hour
