Summary

Sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNL) is defined as a hearing loss of more than 30 dB across three contiguous frequencies and has an estimated incidence of 20 per 100,000 inhabitants (Stachler RJ et al, 2012; Rudack et al, 2006).
