The Portuguese Association of Otoneurology (APO), at the invitation of the Groupement de Recherche Physiopathologie Vestibulaire (GDR Vertige), was invited to take part in Balance and Vertigo Week.
This is a global event that will take place from 14 to 22 September 2024.
The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness amongst the general public about otoneurological conditions.
To this end, a number of activities have been planned. A national screening programme aimed at identifying and subsequently referring patients with vertigo and balance disorders to an otoneurology clinic. We therefore count on your personal and institutional support at the hospital or healthcare centre where you practise, to help organise one or more days of public screening during Balance and Vertigo Week.
