This study was carried out with the aim of assessing balance disorders in a screening programme conducted at Santiago Hospital amongst the general population, with a sample comprising 100 patients. The screening began with the administration of a questionnaire to characterise the sample, followed by the Modified CTSIB (Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction and Balance) test using the Neurocom Dynamic Posturography – Basic Balance Master®. Following statistical analysis, it was concluded that the majority of participants in this study (92%) reported experiencing vertigo/dizziness/imbalance, 42% had hearing problems and 55% experienced tinnitus.
