Following the initial phase of reflection and consolidation of ideas and projects, APO is now up and running.
Now that we have decided on the activities and the framework that will guide the projects we wish to carry out, selected the participants and outlined the content, it is time to plan the activities for the coming year.
It is our intention to hold the meetings that have now become a regular feature of the APO. Thus, in addition to the Annual Congress and the Winter Meeting, it falls to us to organise the Iberian Otoneurology Meeting, which the APO is responsible for successfully organising in 2014.
With regard to the Annual Congress, it is our intention to enhance its capacity to promote more significant work with a broader impact for younger people, by giving greater prominence to a more systematic and targeted approach to learning the basics of otoneurology.
The Iberian Meeting will be organised in the same way as in previous years. We will therefore endeavour to ensure that registration remains free of charge for presenters, as well as their accommodation.
As in previous years, the Winter Meeting will continue to focus on a single theme and will contribute to the Annual Congress through the publication of an abstract.
The APO website will retain the same organisational structure and the same editor as in previous years. The positive results and the image that APO has built up have led the Board to ask Dr Vaz Garcia to continue in his role as editor.
Diventos will continue to manage the Association’s secretariat.
