Since its foundation in 1997, the Portuguese Association of Otoneurology (APO) has aimed to promote learning, encourage peer discussion and disseminate the latest knowledge in the field of otoneurology. In this context, despite all the constraints inherent to the times we live in, we have continued our scientific activities. We will shortly be publishing a book of recommendations on Ménière’s disease, which is intended to serve as a reference and therapeutic guide. In February, we will hold another “Winter Meeting”, at which a select working group will spend a full day examining the topic of “positional nystagmus” in depth. In March, we shall celebrate “Hearing Day” and in April we shall hold another “Vertigo Day”, with the invaluable collaboration of Prof. Herman Kingma. We count on our colleagues to join us on this journey, which would be meaningless without your presence and participation.
On behalf of myself and the APO Board, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
