Vestibular Migraine (VM) is a recently recognised variant of migraine, characterised by the association between migraine and episodic vertigo or imbalance. It has an estimated prevalence of 1 to 3% in the general population, approximately 5 to 10 times more common than M\u00e9ni\u00e8re\u2019s disease (MD) (1,2). However, previous studies report a significant overlap in the main symptoms (e.g. migraine, vertigo, hearing loss) between the two conditions (3,4). In fact, the acute vestibular symptoms of EV are often indistinguishable from those of MD and, at times, do not occur in temporal association with migraine (5). Furthermore, migraine is more common in patients with MD than in healthy controls (6\u20138). More specific diagnostic criteria are needed to effectively differentiate VEP from MD and address their co-occurrence.
